The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has decided to bring the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the World Trade Center to the Sugathadasa Sports Complex in Colombo, said the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Namal Rajapaksa yesterday (03) afternoon.

The decision was taken as the Ministry of Youth Affairs has to pay a monthly stipend of Rs. 3.9 million for the establishment of the Ministry of Youth Affairs at the World Trade Center in Colombo, he added.

He was speaking at a special meeting between officials of the Sri Lanka Professional Sports Journalists’ Association and the Minister of Sports at the Ministry of Sports.

“Paying Rs. 3.9 million a month to the Ministry of Youth Affairs is a waste. It is not good to waste money. Therefore, the Ministry of Youth Affairs has decided to bring Sugathadasa to the stadium.

” “There is space in the Sugathadasa Sports Complex. When the Ministry of Youth Affairs is brought there, Rs. 3.9 million will be saved, ”he added.
