The Ministry of Education has decided to conduct GCE Advanced Level Examination General Examination marks for courses selected by students after conducting aptitude tests at universities.
A senior official of the ministry said yesterday (30) that the universities have also been consulted in this regard.
The Ministry has taken the above decision on several issues including the time taken by the universities to conduct separate aptitude tests and issue the results.
This decision is being implemented in line with the Ministry of Education’s plan to reduce the time taken to admit those who qualify for the GCE Advanced Level examination to universities by six months.
He said it would take about a year and a half to enter the university after the examination and that it was a crime to do so and that the period would be reduced to six months.
