Former President Maithripala Sirisena has been invited by the Samagi Jana Balawega party to the post of Leader of the Opposition in the new parliament to be convened on the 20th, according to social media reports.

These reports have been published on pro-UNP social media networks that Sajith Premadasa and Maithripala Sirisena have had telephone discussions regarding this matter.
